The weekend is officially over *sigh*. I hope everyone had a good one!
Today is a Happy Monday because I had a lovely weekend and the good vibes seem to have followed me to today!
Anyone who knows me knows how much I hate London – or used to hate London. While travelling and falling in love with everywhere I’ve been, I realised that I’ve never really taken the time out to appreciate the city that I call home, so, I spent my weekend pretty much falling in love with it.
I recently bought myself a Sony A6000 which if I’m being honest, I have no idea how to use properly! As I work in Westbourne Grove and had no plans after work on Friday, I walked down to Portobello Road to take a few snaps and test it out.
Saturday: It was my birthday 3 weeks ago and my best friend booked a ‘Twilight Expedition’ for us at Up At The O2 in the evening. It was a lovely experience, although I expected to be able to see more and the lights on top of the 12 support towers ruined pretty much all of the pictures taken on my Samsung S6 Edge (my Sony A6000 was too big to fit in the suit pocket).
Sunday: Spent how it always is, at my grandmas with my siblings, cousins, dad and uncles. After my yummy Sunday dinner I headed off to The Sky Garden to take some shots of the city.
After thoughts: Once you get away from the masses of tourists and the every day hassle of commuting around London, it’s a pretty awesome city to see!
I’ll be writing about all of these experiences in separate posts soon!
With love from London,
