I’d been looking for a cafe to have a quick meeting in that I could also blog about for a while and Palm Vaults seemed like the perfect spot. Laptops aren’t allowed on weekends so I made sure to visit in the early afternoon mid-week.
I’m probably the fussiest eater you will ever meet so I was worried I wouldn’t like anything on the Palm Vaults menu (think avocado on toast and beetroot lattes – *vomits*) but everything looked so pretty I was willing to purchase their Velvet Latte (which is actually just almond milk, vanilla and beetroot) just to photograph. Luckily my friend decided she’d give it a try, saving me some coins!
I originally ordered a passionfruit smoothy made with ice but was later told they didn’t have the ingredients in stock *le sigh* this was super annoying because it took me about 5 minutes to force myself to even order that.
I reluctantly opted for the White Ivory Coast – I don’t like milk and am lactose intolerant so thought this was going to be a disaster… Turns out, it was the best decision I could have made – belly ache aside!
The hot chocolate was creamy, flavourful and reminded me of a chocolate that I love but couldn’t put my finger on. One of the lovely waitresses came over to ask if everything was ok and to apologise again for my original order being cancelled and I asked what was in the hot chocolate… Milky bar buttons, of course that was it! This was hands down THE BEST hot chocolate I’ve ever had in my whole entire life and it was only £3!
After fooling around trying to use the Instagram app ‘Boomerang’, taking pictures of our drinks whilst they got cold and just generally being the worst bloggers in the history of bloggers, we decided it was time to go and get some food!
Not before taking more pointless snaps outside. Well, not entirely pointless, I had matched my outfit with the cafe’s theme so it was only right that I took some snaps!
